Risolto
Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Risolto. By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are
Risolto ("Risolto," "we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered weekly meal planning service operated by Risolto, LLC, a limited liability company. You can reach us at hello@risolto.app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service, consistent with the requirements of our third-party service partners. By using Risolto, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete. We reserve the right to terminate accounts we believe are held by minors.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@risolto.app if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use of your account.
4. Account Tiers and Pricing
Risolto is currently free for all users. No fees are charged and no payments are processed at this time.
The Service currently offers two access levels:
- Free — Menu planning and shopping list export; limited to 15 generated menus per rolling 30-day period.
- Founding Member — The first 50 general signups receive full access to all features, including grocery cart integration, at no charge for as long as the Service operates. This status is permanent: Founding Members will never be charged for any feature currently available to them, regardless of future pricing changes.
Once paid subscriptions are introduced for new users, those signing up after the founding period will have access to a free tier (basic menu planning and shopping list export) or a paid tier (full features including grocery cart integration). Existing Founding Members are not affected by this transition. Specific pricing and billing terms for new users will be disclosed in updated Terms before any charges are incurred. No one will be charged without advance notice and an opportunity to review those terms.
Grocery cart integration with select third-party providers (currently Kroger-family stores, including Harris Teeter, Fred Meyer, and King Soopers) is available to non-Free tier users. By connecting a grocery account, you authorize Risolto to submit your generated shopping list to that provider on your behalf for product matching and cart population. Risolto is not affiliated with or responsible for the services, pricing, product availability, checkout experience, or payment processing of any connected grocery provider. You remain responsible for reviewing your cart and completing any purchase through the provider's own interface.
5. AI-Generated Content — Important Disclaimer
Risolto uses artificial intelligence to generate weekly dinner menus, recipes, ingredient lists, and related content. This content is provided for general meal-planning convenience only. It does not constitute nutritional advice, dietary guidance, or medical advice of any kind.
AI-generated recipes and shopping lists may contain errors, omissions, or ingredient suggestions that are not suitable for your household. You are solely responsible for reviewing all generated content before purchasing, preparing, or consuming any food item. Risolto makes no representations that generated menus are nutritionally complete, allergen-safe, or appropriate for any specific dietary requirement or medical condition.
If you or a member of your household has a food allergy, intolerance, or medical dietary restriction, you must independently verify every ingredient before use. The "avoided ingredients" feature is a best-effort preference signal, not a guaranteed allergen filter.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Access or attempt to access any part of the Service other than through the interfaces we provide.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service by automated means.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying models of the Service.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit generated content or the Service itself.
- Introduce malicious code, interfere with the integrity of the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
- Use the Service in any way that could impose a disproportionate load on our infrastructure.
7. Intellectual Property
The Risolto platform, including its design, code, and generation systems, is owned by Risolto, LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the platform to you.
You retain ownership of personal data you provide to the Service (such as household preferences and pantry contents). You grant Risolto a limited license to use that data solely to operate and improve the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
AI-generated menus and recipes are provided to you for your personal, non-commercial use. You may print or share individual menus for personal household use, but may not republish or commercialize them.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information, including dietary preferences and allergen data. By using the Service, you agree to the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy, available at risolto.app/privacy, is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any AI-generated content.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Risolto, LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to personal injury, food-related illness or allergic reaction, lost profits, or data loss, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising under these Terms exceed ten dollars ($10.00 USD).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Risolto, LLC and its members, officers, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 5, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fairfax County, Virginia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Please note: many states have data breach notification requirements (typically 30–72 hours after discovery). In the event of a security incident affecting your personal data, we will comply with applicable state law.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this document and, for material changes, notify you by email or by a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Risolto, LLC regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
